Welcome to the Class of 1974's website.

This site is dedicated to the classmates of
Tulsa Oklahoma's Daniel Webster High School who graduated in 1974.

Our class was made up from 8 different elementary schools on the Westside of Tulsa Oklahoma.  These schools were:

Eugene Fields, Jane Adams, Park, Porter
Remington, Robertson, St. Catherine's and Taft.

Our 5th grade year some of us saw the split of Robertson due to the opening of Remington.

From there we went to Clinton Jr. High.  Yes I said Jr. High.  Back then it was not called "Middle School", and the grades were from the 7th through the 9th.

After Clinton, we then moved to Daniel Webster High School, just a couple of blocks to the North of Clinton.

In our three years at Webster, we were involved in
activities that either changed many things at our school.

We were involved in a student protest on the steps of the auditorium, which changed the dress code of the school.  After that, we were allowed to wear our hair as we wanted, as long as it was kept neat, and could have facial hair...if we could grow it.  Longer hair and sideburns, wow, we were stylin.

Our graduating class had the first Afro American Warrior Chief with Darrell Pettie.

We are the only class I have ever heard of who had streakers.

We were the largest graduating class from Webster, and are still listed on the record book at the school as such.  We were also one of the last classes to graduate on the front steps of the school.

Our class has produced several talented people.  Mitch Schauer, who is the creator of syndicated cartoons, with "Bobby's World" and "Angry Beavers", and several other projects on Nick.  We also have Steve Deo who is very popular in the arts with his Native American art.  These are just two of the talented people our class has produced.

We have a lot to be proud of with our class.  No matter what you do in life, from refuse to self made millionaire, our class is proud of ALL it's members.
